This 9 Days Tanzania Mid Range Safari is a complete northern circuit adventure, offering diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and cultural experiences. You’ll explore Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Eyasi, staying in comfortable mid-range lodges and tented camps.
Expect to see the Big Five, large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the Great Migration (seasonal). The safari also includes a cultural encounter with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes at Lake Eyasi, giving you both wildlife and authentic cultural immersion.
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you’ll be greeted by your driver guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch before heading to your lodge in Karatu.
After breakfast, visit Lake Manyara National Park, well known for its flamingos, lush groundwater forest, and tree-climbing lions. Afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a game drive en route, with wildlife viewing along the way. Afternoon game drive before heading to your tented camp.
Spend the whole day exploring Serengeti. Depending on the season, witness the Great Migration or spot resident predators like cheetahs, lions, and leopards. Picnic lunch in the park.
After a morning game drive in Serengeti, continue toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. En route, you may stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional, extra cost). Arrive at your lodge near Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, flamingos, and possibly the rare black rhino. Picnic lunch on the crater floor.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Spend the day experiencing their unique lifestyle, hunting with the Hadzabe, and learning traditional skills. Later, return to Karatu for overnight.
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a brief city tour or shopping before being transferred to the airport for departure.
